Ken also won our own 'Masterclass' award, so was doubly delighted - well done Ken!

Annual Rally with MVA a big success!
Our annual rally this year was held at Thoresby Hall in conjunction with the Morris Vehicles Association, & overall was a great success. We had a good turnout of our own cars, & there were plenty of others to see from the Morris Register who kindly organised the event, MMOC, Wolseley Register, & several other Morris-related clubs. The icing on the cake for us was our Vice Chairman Ken Kefford winning the Best Car in Show award at the end of the weekend for his lovely Morris Oxford - a fitting tribute to all the work he has put in on it with Chairman Nev Holmes. Next year we're back at one of our old haunts, Hatton Country World in Warwickshire.

My Wolseley 4/50 emerges from hibernation!
After 4 long months of being trapped in it's garage, the new extension & kitchen are complete, the builders have gone, their skip has been taken away from in front of the garage doors, & the 4/50 can emerge blinking & VERY dusty into the April sun for a good wash & checkover! Unfortunately it wasn't quite in time for 'Drive It Day', but I hope you managed to join your fellow classic car enthusiasts on the road last Sunday.
A drive round the block shows that everything appears to be in fine fettle, as I did carry out a service just before its incarceration, but inevitably it feels like one of the front brake cylinders is a bit sticky. Hopefully a bit of use will free it up, otherwise it's off with that brake drum to have a look. I'm now looking forward to getting it out on the road, and to our next local pub meet on Thursday 7th May.
Best wishes, & Happy Motoring,

DRIVE-IT-DAY 26TH APRIL 2015
Spring must really be here, as 'Drive it Day' is just around the corner on Sunday 26th April, so this is definitely the time to be giving your classic a spruce up & check over, & get out & about in it on the 26th to show just how many classic cars there are on the road in the UK. Let's hope for some proper Spring-like weather to encourage us all out.
Best wishes,
Pat Carroll

RESTORATION SHOW 28TH/29TH MARCH 2015
Hi Folks - just a reminder about the Restoration & Classic Car Show at the UK NEC over the weekend of 28th/29th March - see http://www.necrestorationshow.com/.

The club isn't able to have a stand there this year, but some members will be going, so if you do go, keep an eye out for a familiar face
Hope you enjoy it if you go.
