At the NEC I was approached by a gentleman who has a 6/80 back axle for sale.  Mr. Peter Randall, from the Reading area wants somewhere around £250 for the whole thing.  I have a land line number, but the mobile is 077171 36338.  Anybody out there interested?
Every now and then I get  a phone call.  This one is about selling an MO, Graham rang to say he has an MO to go!  Down in Bournemouth and he wants it to go to a club member.  It goes and has a new exhaust but the wheels are off it currently.  Any offers...

Contact your PRO for more details, this is not an expensive item

Stop press!

We had 50 calendars printed and most got sold at the NEC last weekend!  There are less than a dozen unspoken for.  £7.50 plus p&p and you could have one but please hurry otherwise you will miss the boat.

These are better than the last ones and I do not expect them to last long.  Tootle pip:    Colin your friendly PRO

WELCOME TO NEW CLUB BLOGGERS!

Greetings & welcome if you've found us for the first time, hopefully as a result of the slip I sent out with the magazine.  If this is your first visit, please do leave a comment to tell us what you think of the idea.  This blog site certainly isn't meant as a replacement for our excellent web site, but does offer an easy-access means of quick communication, so I hope it will be well used.
Thank you for visiting - come back again soon - we'll try to keep up to date news on here for you.
Best wishes, Pat Carroll (President & Site Moderator)

Instant communication wins again.

As some club members know I'm into J vans, I've started a Facebook page for these J vans, spreading the word to the Billions of users around the world, about how rare these are and that all should be saved.
Via this medium I "found" an owner with a van in Nz, he passed on all the history of the van before selling everything apart from the body. He has since started to build his own customised chassis and running gear. His project will be on the road in the next few months.
Please with at least finding one previously unknown van I've now "found" two more.
These are in Oz and are now for sale.

Its just a shame I cannot seem to do this in the UK..

1950's Advertisement Re-creation

Some time ago, we came across a period advert for oil I think it was, which featured a Wolseley 4/50.
We tracked down the location to a bridge in Bourton on the Water in the Cotswolds, so when the Club had a rally not far away at Fosseway Farm near Moreton in Marsh, we went along to try to recreate the shot.  Here's the original plus one of my 4/50 hopefully in the same spot!

Early one morning.

Let's get started!

Welcome to the official blog page for The 6/80 & MO Club!  This is my very first blog site, so it's a bit basic at the moment, but I'm sure it will develop & mature as I learn more about how to use it.
Anyway, here's the start, with a picture of me & my 4/50 to kick off:
